Are you new to RuneScape 3 (RS3) or a returning player that has no idea about the pros and cons of joining a clan? This article is for you!
RS3 is an MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) and has been around as the 3rd version since 2013. RS3 is actually a direct continuation of RS2, and all old accounts and items were apparently moved over. RS2 was launched around late March 2004.
As you progress through the game, you will come to understand there is a massive social aspect. Much of the game can be learned exponentially faster by asking those who have already researched and accomplished tasks, and much of the most expensive gear in the game requires teamwork. This is where clans come in.
Clans allow similar-minded people (or just anyone with two legs and a hand) to join and work towards events as a small “Community” of players who provide additional value to the game. They may give out items, host events, hold competitions, speak on voice or video chat, and GZ you when you accomplish your goals!
Our clan in particular has done some neat stuff over the years. FlavaFlareon (the “Founder”) has hosted some extremely complicated events, generally a few times a year. The greatest example from him was Survivor: Karjama.
